She was appointed by the Deputy First Minister in 2018 as Chair of a national Advisory Group to deliver a new strategy for Scottish School Libraries. Vibrant Libraries, Thriving Schools was published in September 2018. Martina is 2019 Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland (CILIPs). | |

These roles have included subjects matter as diverse as Collective Behaviour, Visualisation of Mouse Embryos, Data Science toolkits, Conversational Agents, Geographical Information Systems, Machine Learning, Research Repositories and Digital Humanities. Currently, he is Senior Scientist at BioAscent Drug Discovery. His particular research interests include machine learning, data science, ontologies, imaging, databases, semantic web technologies, visualisation, metadata, research data management & systems, data analytics, library information and knowledge technologies, software development. |
